Your new ScreenRoom for A-Frame
Travel Trailers comes ready to
use in a large, wheeled stuff
sack. It comes with extra heavy
duty stakes and a variety of
setup configurations.
How to set up the Awning
portion
Unpack the frame set from the
stuff sack and set upright next
to your trailer. At this time,
your trailer should be fully
parked and leveled, with the
roof and tilt-up walls deployed.
|
|
Remove the roof cover fabric
from the stuff sack and locate
the edge that attaches to the
trailer. At the center, there
should be a reinforced slot,
which will hook onto the peak of
the tilt up wall. Unlock the
tilt up wall from inside the
trailer and pull the roof cover
fabric up and over the top
edges. Hook the reinforced slot
onto the peak of the tilt-up
wall and spread the remaining
fabric along the edges of the
tilt-up wall.
|
|
Place the closed tent frame in
front of your A-Frame trailer,
and carefully expand the frame
out partially, before the
corners lock into position. You
will notice there is one side of
the frame which does not have a
horizontal scissor assembly.
This side must face your
trailer. Take the remaining roof
cover fabric, and spread out
over the top and around the four
corners of the partially opened
frame.
|
|
Pull the roof fabric over the
two back corners of the frame.
Velcro material sewn into the
top fabric will match with
Velcro tabs on the frame. Make
sure all legs are standing
vertically and the legs of the
awning are almost touching the
sides of the travel trailer.
Then, carefully expand the frame
fully until the upper corners
lock into position. Adjust the
height of the legs to create an
even height with the roof line
of your trailer. Once the awning
portion is set up, we always
recommend deploying the included
guy lines to give you a good
sturdy home.
How to assemble the Mesh
Walls
Unpack the mesh walls and slowly
roll apart. The mesh walls
attach to the roof fabric at 5
points with a zipper: 2 vertical
points and 3 horizontal zippers
along the inside edge of the
roof fabric eaves.
Begin with the forward wall -
hold the mesh panel up on the
inside of the awning fabric eave
and start the first zipper.
Then, going around the outside
of the awning poles, start the
second zipper then the third.
Lastly, start one of the two
vertical zippers, going top
down, and zip both closed along
the vertical legs of the awning,
adjacent to the travel trailer.
You will also find, on the
inside of the mesh walls, small
Velcro fasteners, that will wrap
around the legs of the awning.
These provide additional
strength to the walls of the
screen room.
Once the mesh walls are in
place, as a measure of added bug
proofing, place the long "skirt
cloth" along the bottom edge of
your travel trailer. The skirt
cloth attaches to the awning
legs with two Velcro loops at
either end. It also attaches to
the roof fabric, where it comes
all the way down along the
vertical zippers.
How to Attach the Floor
If your ScreenRoom is located on
loose dirt, we recommend you
install the floor to give you a
clean ground to walk on. Unpack
the floor, and simply place the
corner loops around the bottom
legs of the frame. Smooth out
any wrinkles and you're done.
Configurations
Now that your ScreenRoom is all
set up, you can now change its
layout for maximum comfort and
usability. Roll up one or all of
the walls for a breezy, bug-free
space. Or, pull out one of the
fabric walls, and set it out as
an awning using the included
awning poll set to give you even
more shade. |
